Finding My Creative Spark

Growing up, I always had a passion for art and design...just ask my Mom! Whether it was doodling in my school notebooks or crafting unique creations at home, I found solace in expressing myself through various forms of creativity. However, it wasn't until I discovered that by transferring my creative ideas through a computer, the possibilities were absolutely endless! And so, in 2012, JB CRE8IV was born and the flood gates of my true potential opened, revealing a whole new creative side I didn't realize I had at the time.

I started out by making some basic flyers for yard sales, band concerts and other small local events. I then began designing logos for friends and bands. By 2014, I designed my first website and it was an amazing feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. Over the course of the next 5 years, I focused on learning more about graphic design and web design and really began learning some tricks of the trade during that time. I would continue designing logos and signs, sometimes for the most useless things, but I had ideas that had to come out. Doing this allowed me to continue to build on my skillset and expertise in the field even when I didn't have any paying customers at the time. I know there were folks out there who saw me create a bunch of useless designs over the years and were probably thinking "why are you wasting so much time creating this junk?". For many, the designs absolutely were useless! But for me, each useless design was actually a stepping stone towards my next goal. I kept repeating this process for years and I began noticing the 'useless' creations began to get overshadowed by the useful creations.

Today, I have several websites under my belt, along with dozens of logos, flyers, signs, brochures and many other marketing items for businesses far and wide. The learning never stops and it never should!

EVERY project is that next stepping stone...useless or not. Value each one of them individually and enjoy the ride.
